The  Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has advised motorists in Abuja to abide by the new park and pay order in the Federal Capital Territory.

AlhajiIliyasu Abdu, the Managing Director of the Integrated Parking Services Limited (IPS), gave the advice when he briefed newsmen in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the initiative would beautify the city, guarantee security for well parked cars and also reduce car theft.

Abdusaid the FCTA initiative was aimed at generating and boosting the revenue base of the territory.

``The recent judgment in the case challenging the authority of FCTA on the issue has finally put to rest the legitimacy of the park and pay services.

``With the introduction of park and pay services, motorists in the affected areas are now experiencing free flow of traffic as the usually persistent holdups have disappeared,’’ Abdu said.

He said with the initiative, motorists were required to pay N50 for 30 minutes. (NAN)
