The Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has joined thousands of Nigerians to congratulate the chairman and Editor-in-Chief of
LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, for attaining the golden age of 50.
The governor, who sent his congratulatory message in a letter addressed to Mr. Nda Isaiah, described the publisher as a man of prodigious courage who had nurtured to great prominence an authoritative newspaper.
According to Oshiomhole, Mr. Nda-Isaiah has shown unflinching faith in Nigeria and a strong resolve to be counted among the forces of change and progress which he said manifests in the inspiring socially reconstructive journalism of the LEADERSHIP Newspaper.
“Your life has been marked especially by a prodigious courage, exemplified by your decision to abandon the security of decent employment for an uncertain future as a publisher.
However, by dint of creative vision, tenacity and exceptional competence, you have nurtured to great eminence and respectability an authoritative national newspaper within an incredibly short period in a fiercely competitive industry.
“I have always admired your unflinching faith in Nigeria and fascinated by your patriotic restlessness. It is impressive that your impatience with the country’s leadership and your bitterness about her squandered opportunities have not been moderated by age or by your enhanced prosperity.”
“We pray God to continue to endow you with excellent health, prosper your businesses and grant you many more years on earth for the benefit of Nigeria and humanity.”
