With all the beehive of activities during the day, we tend to forget about the most sensitive and most exposed part of our body: the face. The face is exposed to all kind of dirt during the day.
To achieve a perfect skin without any blemish, first of all, you need to do away with the old make up you have in your closet that smells or look differently when you first bought them. Bad cosmetics lead to bacteria laden pores which result in acne. Stress can also lead to the breakout of acne.
Acne is a condition of the skin which begins with blackheads. Blackheads results when oil and dead cell gets trapped in the pore and get mixed with bacteria. Pimples occur when blackheads become inflamed and they spread when touched with dirty hands.
Acne can be prevented or cleared as fast as possible through some daily practices. Here are some recommendations on how to care for your face:
Wash your face at least twice a day with warm water and mild soap.
Avoid popping pimples. Popping pimples can push the affected material further into the skin leading to more swelling and redness
Avoid touching your face with your fingers. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated.
Always wash your hands before applying anything to your face.
If you wear glasses or sunglasses, make sure you clean them regularly to keep oil from clogging the pores around your nose and eyes.
Keep your hair clean and out of your face to avoid clogging of pores.
Pick the right cleanser. Look for medicated cleanser with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
Protect your face from the sun by using a cream that contains a sunscreen.
If you have acne on your body, avoid wearing tight clothes. Tight clothes prevent the skin from breathing properly and could also irritate the skin.
Exfoliate your skin once in a week.
Keep your sheets and pillow case very clean. You should wash it every other day since you lay on your pillow case every day.
Your pillow case absorbs the oil from your skin and reapplies the oil and dirt to your skin
Eat carrot for Vitamin A. Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant needed to get rid of toxins from your body. A deficiency could result in the breakout of acne.
