An indigenous food drinks company , Today’s Premium Drinks Limited, has added a new variant of health energy drink, called 28 Black into the Nigerian market to provide optimal health for the populace.
Described as the first natural energy drink from Acai fruits , the drink health experts aver that it’s exceptionally refreshing and has a fruity taste that is pleasant to the taste buds.
At the introduction of the new energy drink at the event held in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Michael Williams, said that “ candy synthetic drinks are fast becoming a thing of the past due to their adverse effects on the health since they are being made of synthetic materials, and the global world is now embracing natural food products which contains anti-oxidants that protect the health especially the heart.”
According to him, 28 Black has been carefully formulated to provide optimal health for everybody who consume it regularly, saying, “With its natural ingredients , such as kola-nuts, and enriched with vitamins B and E, it provides excellent tonic to the health” he stated.
He explained that so good is the Acai fruits that Acai supplements had become quite popular in Germany and other countries , so it was only a matter of time before an energy drink was released with an Acai fruit base .
Also speaking at the event, the Executive Director for West Africa, Richard Iyare, pointed out that 28 Black has been carefully formulated to give maximal energy strength needed to tackle complex mental task and it has been scientifically proven that it gives over four hours extra strength to the human system, hence the name 28 Black meaning four hours more to the normal 24 hours.
He said that the drink has been in other countries for over four years , but was just being introduced into the Nigerian market so that Nigerians too can benefit from it.
Tracing the history of the energy drink, Iyare said the idea was initiated in 2008 in Germany and in that same year, the drink was formulated with natural products gotten from Northern Brazil. “The fruit which forms over 70 per cent of this drink is from Northern Brazil and it is a form of Black berries.”
He pointed out that the energy drink is very unique and it is the first natural energy drink in Nigeria duly registered by NAFDAC.
Produced by Dohler manufacturing company of Switzerland, he said it contains about 10 essential vitamins like B12, and the drink contains no alcohol and cause no dizziness or any form of hang over.
According to him, it is ideal and good for all persons from age 15 to 100 years and above.
