Reps Seek Enforcement Of Fire Safety Standard

The House of Representatives, through its Committee on Interior, yesterday picketed the Federal Fire Service (FFS) over its inability to replicate the International Fire Safety Standard and other adequate fire safety measures, that will enable it forestall unwarranted Fire Disasters in the country.

Chairman, House Committee on Interior, Hon. Umar Bature who expressed dismay at the Service’s inability to deliver on all that will make it a productive arm of government during their oversight visit, was also pained that the Federal Fire Service has failed to look at the laws which established it.

Hon. Bature  who called for the immediate enforcement of Fire Safety Standard such as the compulsory installation  of fire safety appliances in all public and federal buildings.
