The Fulani Socio-cultural organization, Miyatti Allah Kautal Hore yesterday said that it would henceforth deal with those who arrogated to themselves some titles in Fulani communities across the country and using such title to defraud and cheat innocent Fulanis.
National Chairman of the group, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo who issued the warning, told newsmen in Abuja that some people from Benue State allegedly paraded themselves as leaders of Fulanis, gathered some herdsmen in the state and asked them to contribute twenty cows as allegedly demanded by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar 111.
According to him, the Sultan had been trying his best to unite the Fulanis, but others are bent on using his name to commit a lot of atrocities, which he condemned.
He stressed that those who engaged themselves in such act would not only be arrested but they would face the full wrath of the law.
Miyetti Allah advised the Fulanis to be vigilant and report such people to the nearest police station or they should contact the national headquarters of the organization for prompt action.
