The Anti-Vandal Squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Oyo State has arrested five suspected vandals at Oniyanrin, Ibadan North Local Government Area.
The State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr Bello Stephen, said in a release issued in Ibadan on Friday that items such as hack saws, replicable blades, man-hole lock keys, jack belt lifters, jack belts and screw drivers were recovered from the suspects.
He said the suspects would be prosecuted in court after investigation had been completed.
Stephen appealed to residents of the state to always inform the command of any suspicious act bordering on acts of vandalism.
He also advised the corps officials to also re-strategise in order to tackle the daunting security challenges facing the country. (NAN)
