Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed for the week on negative note on Friday as major blue chips recorded price losses.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the All-share index lost 136.55 points or 0.61 per cent to close at 22,381.11 against the 22,517.66 recorded on Thursday.
Also, the market capitalisation, which opened at N7.181 trillion, depreciated by N44 billion or 0.61 per cent to close at N7.137 trillion due to price losses.
Nestle led the losers’ chart with N5 to close at N425 per share.
Nigerian Breweries followed with a loss of N3 to close at N109 per share, while Flour Mills dropped N1.26 to close at N60.11 per share.
Prescodepreciated by 78k to close at N15.01 per share, while Oando lost 59k to close at N16.71 per share.
On the other hand, NewGold recorded the highest price gain of N45 to close at N2, 436 per unit.
UACNgrew by N1.02 to close at N36 per share, while Unilever gained 51k to close at N30.51 per share.
Zenith appreciated by 21k to close N14.85 per share, while Eterna Oil gained 14k to close at N3.24 per share.
The financial services sector was the most active, accounting for 226.86 million shares worth N1.63 billion in 2,198 deals,
This represented 80.5 per cent of the 281 million shares valued at N2.2 billion traded in 3,988 deals on Friday.
