The Ogun Police Command on Wednesday said that it had arrested four suspects and recovered from them seven locally-made double-barreled guns, 20 live cartridges and other ammunition.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye, told newsmen that cutlasses, knives, charms and masks were also recovered from the suspects.
Also arrested were three suspects for allegedly vandalising a NITEL cable.
``The command will charge all the suspects to court as soon as investigations into the matters are concluded,'' Okoye said.
He attributed the recovery of the arms and arrests to useful information offered by the public, and called for increased cooperation between the police and the public.
Okoye assured the people of safety of lives and property, as the command is better equipped to fight crime.
