2 Female Drug Pushers Hid Drugs In Inner Wear, Chocolate Pack

Two women who concealed substance suspected to be prohibited drugs inside their inner wear were yesterday arrested in Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The agency’s spokesman, Mr Mitchell Ofoyeju, disclosed this in a statement, said that the suspects, who are between ages 24 years and 25 years, were arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The spokesman said that one of the suspects, who claimed to be a hair stylist, was caught with one kilogramme of methamphetamine hidden in her inner wear.

The other suspect, according to the statement, is a London-based fashion designer, who was found in possession of three kilogrammes of cocaine concealed inside chocolate packs.

It noted that one of the suspects was detected with the support and cooperation of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) personnel.

She was trying to take a local flight to Abuja, to connect another flight to Malaysia.

“She packed 750 grammes of methamphetamine in her inner wear, while 250 grammes were also ingested by her.

“The second suspect was arrested during screening of passengers on a British Airways flight to London.

``Thirty sachets of cocaine weighing three kilogrammes of cocaine were found inside two chocolate containers in her bag,” the statement said.

It explained that the suspects claimed during interrogation that they were lured into the drug deal, with the promise of a mouth-watering sum of money.
