Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed negatively on Friday as stocks of some highly capitalised companies recorded deep price losses.
At the end of transactions, NewGold led the losers’ chart, shedding N35 to close at N2, 505 per share.
Nigerian Breweries followed with a loss of N1.60 to close at N96 while Julius Berger share price deepen by N1.53 to close at N29.08.
Cap share price depreciated also by N1.20 to close at N24.50 while UAC Property lost 55k to close at N10.58 per share.
Guinness, on the other hand led the price gainers, chalking up N2 to close at N229 per share.
Glaxosmithklineshare price grew by N1 to close at N21 per share, while NAHCO gained N21 to close at N6.01 per share.
Mayer and Baker appreciated by 8k to close N1.78 per share, while Custodyins gained 7k to close at N1.61 per share.
Investors bought 234.19 million shares worth N2.1 billion traded in 3,710 deals compared with N1.7 billion staked on Thursday on 190.79 million shares traded in 3,961 deals.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the All-share index at the end of trading lost 211.73 points or 1.0 per cent to close at 20,902.95 against the 21,114.68 points recorded on Thursday.
Market capitalisation of all listed securities fell by N67 billion to close at N6.666 trillion compared with N6.733 trillion achieved on Thursday.
