The Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria, has urged the public not to panic by its range classification exercise scheduled to hold from June 11 to June 15.
This is contained in a release signed by the Army Public Relations Officer, Depot Nigerian Army, Lt. Ibrahim Abdullahi, in Zaria on Saturday.
It said the exercise would take place at the ``Depot Nigerian Army Range” located on Zaria-Kano expressway at Tahu village from 6a.m. to 6p.m., daily.
According to the release, the range classification will involve firing of live ammunition using small arms.
It advised the public, especially residents of the area, not to panic on hearing small arms fire and movement of troops and military materiel during the exercise.
The release described it as a routine military exercise and assured that all safety measures and precautions were put in place to ensure a safe and hitch-free exercise. (NAN)
