Lagos Lawyer,Barrister Femi Falana has urged the Osun State governor,Mr Rauf Aregbesola to lead the struggle for a fiscal federalism in the country.

Speaking with LEADERSHIP in Osogbo, Falana disclosed that the major problem of the country was its lopsided federalism, which according to him was programmed to favour minority group in the country.

According to the activist lawyer, the federal structure in the country today had encouraged disparity between the rich and the poor people.

He also challenged the governor of the state to lead the struggle for the emancipation of the country from looters, who are bent on milking the nation dry.

His Words:”The struggle we talk about is making the Osun State work, thereby forcing the federal government to have a rethink regarding fiscal federalism. And from what we are seeing the state is working. It is unfortunate that instead of people to join hands with him they are crying foul where there is none”.

He stated that no law in Nigeria contradict the formation of a state anthem and coat of arm, saying that anybody can challenge the state’s decision to have its identity in any court of law.

He also called on former President Olusegun Obasanjo to account for all his wealth after becoming the president, noting that  he had only N25,000 before ascending to presidency.

He urged the EFCC to arrest and prosecute public office holders indicted in one bribery issue or the other, with a view to discouraging the act among others.
