The Ogun Command of Nigeria Customs Service on Tuesday said it had seized 780 cartons of frozen foods worth N3.5 million.

The command’s comptroller, Mr Akande Bamidele, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta that the seizures were made in the last two weeks along Idiroko/Imeko axis.

He said that the command was focusing on banned frozen products like chicken and turkey at all points the smugglers were spotted.

He said that the seized products had been confiscated.

``Our drive to plug all points of entry of these banned products is being intensified and we shall not relent in our efforts to safeguard the health of Nigerian citizens,” Bamidele said. (NAN)
