The Bachi Development Association (BDA) in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State has decried the systematic attacks and persistent killings of Berom people in the area by suspected Fulani gunmen.
BDA also lamented that no week passes by without one form of attack or the other and expressed regret that no any arrest had been made despite the imposition of the state of emergency in the area.
BDA, in a statement signed by its national president, Badung Randong, said the criminal acts had became a regular pastime and that such constant attacks were being waged on the natives despite the presence of members of the special military task force on Jos crisis.
They also called for the arrest of the Fulani leaders in Ardo so that they will, in turn, fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly acts with a view to bringing them to justice.
The statement further noted that the attacks were well coordinated and sponsored by faceless persons, noting that the vicious attacks were tantamount to an open declaration of war on Berom land.
