The curfew imposed on Kaduna State following the violence that trailed the bombing of three churches and subsequent reprisal attacks in the state has been further relaxed across the state.
A press statement issued by the Senior Assistant on Media to the Governor, Mr Reuben Buhari said that the move followed the improved peaceful coexistence witnessed in the state.
According to him, the new curfew hours are as follows: free movement in Kaduna South, Kaduna North, Chikun and Igabi is 6am-7pm and 6am-8pm for the 19 remaining local government areas.
The relaxed curfew, according to Mr Buhari, took effect from yesterday, Tuesday, July 3.
He further urged all residents of the state to remain law abiding, to eschew bitterness and all forms of violence, and to embrace peaceful coexistence with others.
He restated government’s commitment towards providing for the welfare of the citizenry.
