The state chairman of the council, Comrade Ali Atabor, who made the call in Lokoja, described travelling the road as  horrific, and urged government to expedite action in completing its dualisation.

Atabor made the call in his office in Lokoja  when he played host to  the sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC),  Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Garba.

He further commended the efforts of the FRSC in reducing accidents in the country. He urged the commander to equally take the campaign to the construction companies, whose drivers of heavy duty equipment are sometimes reckless on the road.

In his remark, the sector commander,Mr. Garba said that the visit was part of his strategy to educate all the stakeholders on how to reduce carnage on the highway.
