Alison-Madueke, Oronsaye Make New NNPC Board

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday constituted the new board of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) with the Minster of Petroleum Resources as the board’s chairman.

A statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati to this effect noted that this was “in furtherance of Jonathan’s commitment to reform the oil and gas industry for the benefit of the people of Nigeria.

“The President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, today approved the constitution of a new Board for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)” Abati stated.

He added that “President Jonathan charged members of the new Board to discharge their duties efficiently and with integrity in order to enhance positive transformation of the petroleum sector”.

 Members of the new Board are  Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance; Group Managing Director of NNPC; Alhaji Abdullahi Bukar, Mr. Steven Oronsaye, Professor Olusegun Okunnu - Member, Arc. Daniel Wadzani, Mr. Bernard O.N. Otti (Group Executive Director, Finance & Accounts) and Dr. Peter S. Nmadu (Group Executive Director, Corporate Services).
