The country’s shipping position for this week released by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says a total of 32 vessels are expected to berth at the Lagos Pilotage District (LPD) this week.
The vessels which are to berth at Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Tin-Can Island Port Complex (TCIPC), as well as jetties, comprise 13 laden with containers, and eight other vessels, each pair of these bearing general cargo, bulk salt, bulk wheat and fish.
Also expected are two vessels each with premium motor spirit (PMS) and automotive gas oil (AGO), as well as seven vessels with vehicles.
Meanwhile, a total of 45 vessels are still awaiting berth at the LPD. While 24 vessels are merchant vessels, 21 are merchant tankers. Of the 45 vessels, 11 are laden with rice, 13 with PMS, five carrying aviation fuel (JET A1) and two with general cargo.
