The men of the State Security Service on Wednesday, detained the former Minister of the FCT, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who was travelling to Dubai, at the Lagos Airport.
His tweet, which was posted at 12.33pm this afternoon, read: “The SSS at the Lagos Airport tell me they have orders to detain me and prevent me from travelling… the waiting game starts…”... Nasir El-Rufai
The former minister said the incident occurred as he was about to board an Emirates Airlines flight to Dubai around noon.
It will be recalled that el-Ruffai recently advised President Goodluck Jonathan to resign for being incapable of running the nation.
Some months ago, el-Rufai had tweeted from a foreign country that the SSS were planning to arrest him on his arrival in Nigeria but that did not happen.
