The Enugu State Police Command has commenced Investigations to unravel the mystery surrounding the recent bathing of a lady suspected to be a prostitute with acid by a man who is now at large.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the victim identified as Ogechukwu Ogeny, residing in Artisan market, in Independence Layout Enugu, was allegedly bathed with the acid last Tuesday.
As at the time of filling this report, our correspondent could not ascertain why the man allegedly decided to disfigure the prostitute.
It was also gathered that the suspect picked the prostitute probably for commercial sex but ended up pouring acid on her.
Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at the Orthopeadic Hospital Enugu.
