Worried by the continued State of health of the ex Biafran War Lord, Ezeigbo Chukwuemeka Odumegwu- Ojukwu, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign States of Biafra (MASSOB) have declared fasting and prayer for his recovery.

Making this known at his country home in Okwe, Okigwe while addressing his members, Chief Uwazuruike said that the fasting and praying commenced on August 22, 2011.

He expressed disappointment with some Igbo sons who he said  bombarded his telephone line sympathising with him on the rumoured death of the Ikemba instead of praying for his recovery.

He described such people as enemy of the Igbo who do not want the progress of Ndigbo.
Uwazuruike seized the opportunity to dispel the rumour making the rounds that Ojukwu is dead.

He said, “ Ojukwu is strong and healthy and has more years to live on earth.”
The MASSOB Leader stressed that the rumour was wicked and malicious considering the contribution of Ojukwu in the uplift of Ndigbo.

In another development the non violent Igbo pressure group has announced plans to give a mass burial to over one million Biafran solders that died in the 1967 civil war. The date for the burial  is  January 12 ,2012 and  will also include the 3003 MASSOB members allegedly killed from May, 2000 to May 30th, 2011.
Already, the burial committee has been set up s to organize a series of events and programme for the ceremony.
