Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has urged Muslims in the country to carry their good acts and behaviours beyond the Ramadan month in accordance with divine injunctions.
The Etsu Nupe who was speaking on the benefits of Ramadan in an interview in Bida yesterday, said that the entire God fearing acts exhibited during the month should be sustained and allowed to become part of the people’s way of life.
‘‘Such good behaviours include abstaining from adultery, cheating, drug abuse and alcoholism”, the traditional leader explained.
He reminded that it was only with the fear of Allah that life on earth would be worth living and guaranteed in the hereafter.
Etsu Abubakar therefore appealed to endowed Muslims to assist in raising the living standard of the less privileged with their God given wealth.
He also enjoined the Muslims to use the remaining days of the fasting to pray for and promote continued peaceful co-existence and unity of the country.
The Royal father stated that peace was a veritable tool for national development, and all Nigerians must continue to pray and preach it for the nation to move forward as well as achieve its set goals.
