Bhoke, Ernest and Miss P of the Tailsmates are facing the Eviction brunt this Sunday. Who stays and who goes? BOBOYE ONDUKU lets us in on the survival chances of the nominated contestants.

Bhoke is racing against time

Bhoke is a not just a popular face on Tanzanian television but also on the BBA show. After her initial setbacks, she came to life in the Tails’ house. Being the first Head of House of the Tails did some magic in that regard. Her romance with Uganda’s PR consultant, Ernest (termed ‘EBhoke’) has done her little or no favours. She has had a running battle with Nigeria’s Karen and even viewers as a result of this. This is one of the most hated romances on the BBA show ever.
The children’s rights advocate has been accused of being insecure by viewers. Karen simply thinks she is faking everything. The 26-year old has reneged on her promise to keep viewers guessing because viewers know what to expect per time from her. Her contributions to the BBA buzz have been very little. Viewers, like the Tailsmates, can see she is the one ‘hoping for something’ and ‘throwing herself’ at Ernest.

Africa’s Votes
Africa has been waiting for a chance to get at Bhoke. Nigerian’s will definitely avoid her due to her altercations with Karen. Ghana and the Rest of Africa may tow same line but she is sure of her one country, Tanzania’s votes. East Africans Kenya and Uganda may be sympathetic too. However, she will not receive much support from the Southern African voting audience.

Ernest is finally here
This is the most arrogant contestant on the Amplified show. The fact that he admits to ‘being a little annoying’ has not helped his BBA popularity ratings. From the outset of the Amplified house on May 1, Ernest has wandered into the consciousness of viewers for the wrong reasons. The social scientist pushed the wrong buttons in South Africa’s Luclay and got on the wrong side of ousted Nkuli, Karen and recently, Mumba. He seems to have lost touch of reality despite his ‘love affair’ with Tanzania’s Bhoke.
Uganda’s social scientist is finally where viewers want him to be – the possible eviction list. BBA enthusiasts have been waiting for a chance to go at him with their votes. The 28-year old popularly referred to as ‘Ernestina’ is walking on a tight rope.

Africa’s Votes
Just last week, Ugandans voted for another of their own, Sharon O. They will need to do same this week concerning Ernest. Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Malawi may also have to show some love to save the 28-year old. He will surely lose out in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. The Rest of Africa will give him some sympathy votes though but that may not mean much.

Miss P in the saddle
Miss P has been given a taste of what she dished out two weeks back. As Head of the Tailsmates, she swapped Nigeria’s Karen with Zambia’s Mumba. Danny has not forgotten that. As Head of House, he has meted the same treatment to the ‘physically endowed ‘freelancer from Gaborone. Danny has decided to keep his allegiance with South Africa’s Luclay and swopped him with Miss P.
In fairness to Miss P, she has played her cards well so far. She has somehow managed to stay on the consciousness of viewers for the right reasons. Though she lost the plot sometimes, comparatively she is one of the sane Tailsmates. 24-year old Miss P is playing a ‘matured woman’s’ game in the house. Her ‘psychiatrist’ meltdown and ‘romantic gigs’ have put some question mark on her BB reputation but her decision to save the ‘errant’ Karen has not been forgotten by viewers.

Africa’s Votes
Without any doubts, Nigeria, the Rest of Africa, Ghana, Botswana, Angola, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa will throw their weight behind this mass communications graduate. Her support may not be forthcoming from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Malawi but she will pull through the eviction blues.
