Five persons have been declared dead and several others injured in three separate bomb blasts in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The bombs were allegedly detonated by members of the Boko Haram sect between 2.30 and 3.30pm today. One of the bombs was detonated close to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, another at Gwange ward and the third at Kano Motor Park in Maiduguri.
While the blast close to St. Patrick’s church claimed two lives, the other three victims, were members of Boko Haram; they were allegedly killed in shoot-out with Policemen.
