Killers, suspected to be ritualists might have invaded Odinjo muslim community in Ibadan where, in the last couple of days, three women were feared dead in mysterious circumstances.

An eyewitness told LEADERSHIP that a woman who used to sell local beans was, on August 26, attacked near a shopping complex at Temidire. She was killed, her two eyes gorged out and her breast and private part severed.

The woman was coming from Lagos to Ibadan to plan the burial of her mother when she fell into the hands of her assailants.

It was also learnt that another woman was, during the weekend, attacked at the same point and she suffered the same fate with her eyes gorged out, breast and private part mutilated. Her corpse was dumped under a nearby bridge thereafter, with one of the hands of her daughter in the company of whom she was travelling also cut off.

The Chairman of Temidire Odinjo Landlord Association, Mr. Kayode Arowolo lamented the incidents and called for assistance from both the Police and state government.

Arowolo said that the killers used to come to the scene with their vehicles, pointing out that they were not residing in that community.

The Chairman added that though the Association has set up a vigilante group to nip the criminal act in the bud, there was little their security men could do as the act usually take place on the Express Road.

He disclosed that the incidents have been reported at Idi Aro Police Station where the officers have alerted the Police Headquarters.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Femi Okanlawon said that the matter would be investigated and warned criminals that their days were numbered.
