Bauchi State government is committed to ensuring that all journalists in the state are Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant so as to improve their efficiency on the job.
Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, Mr. Ishola Michael Adeyemi, stated this yesterday during the opening of a four-day workshop on ICT For media professionals organized by the Bauchi State Television Authority (BATV) in conjunction with the centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) at the state Library.
He said that the state government had recently donated laptop computers to selected journalists in the state so as to enable them carry out their functions diligently, adding that more of such would follow.
BATV managing director, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris Shall,organised the ICT capacity building workshop for journalists in the state.
