The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi Dr. Shuaibu M. Musa has approved the sum of N10 million as salary advances to all cadre of staff of the institution.
The gesture, according to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Institution, Mohammed Rabi’u Wada, is to provide welfare services to workers to cushion the effect of non-payment of salary for the month of October, 2011 and also as part of the efforts to assist the staff celebrate Ed-el Kabir comfortably.
By the terms of the salary advance disbursement, Junior and Senior Staff would receive N10, 000 and N20, 000 respectively.
The Rector explained that his administration would continue to improve the living condition of staff and students for the harmonious working relationship and for the maintenance of academic excellence.
Dr Shu’aibu Musa wished every staff and student of the institution and Nigerians a happy Ed-el Kabir celebration.
