Big Brother Amplified: Where Do Broken Kims Go?

One couldn’t help but feel for Kimberly the other day. As she put her head on Luclay’s chest with teary eyes, something triggered off somewhere. One could feel the pain.

Luclay’s efforts at assuaging her pains were like little rain drops in an ocean. The Zambian’s pain was very deep. The babe definitely was hurt; she was feeling Nic’s rejection of her love.

She had seen this coming all along but refused to believe it. “I love you Nic,” she will shout out sometimes. The Kenyan wouldn’t say anything in return.

She would confront him and he would give a lame excuse; “I was doing this (potatoes) and I didn’t want to cut my hands.”

When pushed further, he would eventually reply in a low tone “I love you too”. Those were clear signs that Nic was not into it, but Kim wouldn’t let go. She kept hoping and believing that she will turn that bend with him.

On a certain day, Kim confronts Nic on his closeness to Bernadina. She demands to know what’s up between him and Bernadina. Nic gets upset and replies, “Go ask Bernadina”.
Instead of doing that, Kim runs to Miss P and tells her of how Bernadina had been flirting with Nic. Miss P plays the devil’s advocate and runs off to tell Bernadina because she had told

Kim that she was not going to ‘keep this to herself’.

Bernadina eventually faces up to Kim and rubs more salt into injury: “I would have had Nic if I wanted. Besides Nic has said several times that he is so single”. Boo yah! Ouch!

Karen also picks her up on this when she hears the ‘flirting with Nic story’. She accuses Kim of falling over Nic when the guy doesn’t even want her. Kim could barely fight back. Her attempts to cover up her fears concerning Nic were up. “I feel sometimes I am doing this to myself. Maybe I should just be alone,” she opens up to Miss P. And adds: “When I turn to Nic, he is not there. He is busy doing dishes. I just needed somebody to talk to.”

By this time she had come to her senses. What she feared most had come upon her. But she will still not admit it. “He doesn’t know what he wants. He’s got a temper,” she says.

She speaks of how Nic gets to her yet prays silently for them to click.

Please, Big Brother, let Kim go home.
