Bauchi State Governor Malam Isa Yuguda has reassured of his administration’s commitment towards ensuring peace in the state just as he vowed to deal decisively with trouble makers in the state.
The governor gave the reassurance yesterday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of late village head of Tudun-Wada Gobiya, Bitrus Nathaniel, who was killed by unknown gunmen recently in Bogoro Local Government Area of the state.
The governor who expressed regrets on the development vowed to dealt decisively with trouble makers and described them as the enemies of the administration on the need to consolidate on the gains of democracy in the state.
Represented by the member, state house of assembly representing Bogoro constituency, Hon. Rifkatu Samson Dannah (Baby), Yuguda also donated food stuffs to the family of the deceased.
He explained that the efforts were aimed at giving sense of belonging to the family and to integrate them into the larger society, expressing that government was shocked on the news of the demise of the late village head when his service as a traditional leader was highly required being a custodian of peace maker.
The governor regretted the recurrent security challenges and attributed same to poverty, and cautioned people against acts that are capable of chaos.
