The Vice President, Arc. Namadi Sambo has advocated that the activities of the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) be channeled and captured in the National Development Plan.
He said that the development of any economy greatly depended on the safety of its roads.
Sambo said this yesterday in Abuja during the Third Annual Lecture Series for 2011 organised by the Federal Road Safety Corps with the theme: ‘Achieving The Decades Of Action On Road Safety 2011-2020’and applauded the FRSC for recording great success despite the numerous challenges confronting it.
Speaking through the Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, the Vice President said that, “the activities towards achieving the goals of the Corps must involve all stake holders in other to achieve the desired goal. Again the activities of the FRSC must be channeled towards National Development plan.
“More resources should be injected into road fixing so as to improve the condition of the entire road network in the nation.”This was just as he pointed out that the nation was losing much through road accident.
