A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Nurudeen Oluwo, has cautioned two prominent leaders of the party, Chief Bode George and Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe to sheath their swords and embrace peace in the interest of the party.

Reacting to news of the quarrel between the two leaders of the party, Oluwo who expressed surprise over the issue described it as needless and capable of projecting the party in the state in bad light.

Oluwo further stated that the crisis, if left unresolved would impact negatively on the perception of the PDP in the state which he said was assuming a positive image owing to the controversies that trailed the last local government election in the state.

“I read the recent verbal punch ups between the two leading gladiators in our party in news papers with shock. I am particularly pained because one would be inclined to feel that the two elders involved should have found a way of resolving their problems without going to the pages of newspapers.” Oluwo said.
