The governorship  candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Kogi State, Chief James Ocholi (SAN), has promised to establish more cement companies in the state if given the mandate.

Ocholi, who made the pledge when he appeared before the organized labour to brief them on his plans for the state, said the abundant limestone deposit in the state could serve as raw materials for three or more cement factories.

He disclosed that Kogi had over 10 different mineral resources in commercial quantities which, if fully tapped, would make the state self-sufficient and not dependent on allocation from the federal government.

He added that if he won the coming election, he would use the resources willingly given to the people of the state by God to generate income, promising to generate up to N3 billion internally for the well being of the people.

Ocholi assured further that basic amenities like water, electricity and road would be provided to communities across the state, even as promised free medical services for pregnant women and the aged.
