A randy robber who could not keep zip up his pant during an operation was, yesterday, short dead by a team of policemen on Onitsha/Owerri road while attempting to rape his victim.
Narrating her ordeal to LEADERSHIP, the victim, Miss Regina Omuchu, said that the robber, in the company of his colleagues, forced the commuter bus to stop at about 10:45pm on that stretch of highway notoriously referred to as “no man’s land”.
The commuter bus with registration number XV715KSF, Abia line, she further disclosed, was en route to Abia from Lagos, before it was stopped by the robbers after shooting and injuring the driver of a lorry in front of their vehicle.
Omuchu, still in tears said that the randy robber took her into a nearby bush, hit her hard with his gun before attempting to rape her.
But fortunately for her, she added, a team of policemen arrived and shot him dead instantly while his gang ran for safety.
