The High Commissioner of Nigeria to Canada, Professor Iyorwuese Hagher has  thrown his weight behind the single term agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with our Correspondent yesterday, the envoy  noted that the single tenure agenda was a welcome idea urged everybody in Nigeria to support the idea as a way of curbing corruption and executive excesses.

He said, “when more Nigerians understand what the single term agenda is all about, there will be massive support because it is surely a panacea for not only deepening democracy but to also curb executive excesses, impunity and endemic corruption in Nigeria. I think it is a good idea but I still want to say that 7 years single term is too much because spending 7 years is as bad as spending two terms in office”
