Proverb 12:4, A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
This passage of the bible has enlightened us on the fact that a woman can either be an honour or dishonor to her husband. Glorious, meaning deserving or bringing great fame and success is another clear indication that it takes a glorious woman to make a successful man.
A glorious woman brings fame and success to her husband, which is the dream of every man while a woman without glory bring shame and reproach to her husband. You may ask who is a glorious woman. A glorious woman is a virtuous woman, the bible says, ‘who can find a virtuous woman, for her price is worth more than gold.” A glorious woman is a follower; follows her husband diligently, she is a peace maker, accommodating, creative, an outstanding woman.
A glorious woman possesses good qualities like holiness, devotion and prayerfulness. It is your duty as a glorious wife to pray for your husband and children, filled with innovative ideas that would benefit of the family. 1 peter 3:6, Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. A glorious woman respects her husband even in his shortcomings.
Esther was one of the glorious women in her time. She did not mind losing her life; she stood as an ambassador of God and interceded for her people. She did not only save her family but all her people. How many of you women today have done good works that your husbands would ever remember you for, talk more of other people. Esther 15:16, go, gather together all the jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which not according to the law: and if I perish. I perish.
Also, there was a woman called Dorcas. The bible recorded that this woman for recognized for her good works, she was good in almsgiving; reaching out the poor and the needing, God used her to put smile on the faces of so many widows. Acts 9:36, Now there was at Jappa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and alms deeds which she did.
When Dorcas died, the widows assembled, cried and provoked God to bring Dorcas back to life. Acts 9:39, then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber:and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made while she was with them. These women were not crying because Dorcas was their sister, mother or aunty, but they were crying because of the impact that Dorcas made in their lives.
A glorious woman is not a talkative because a woman who talks too much would always end up exposing her husband. She has the ability to manage little resources, and has a perfect character of obedience to her husband and to God.
Fighting, nagging and quarrelsome are not found in a glorious woman, as a virtuous wife is able to calm down her husband no matter the circumstance, not comparing her husband with sister A or sister B’s husband, not desiring to buy or wear what other women buy. She considers her husband’s standard and manage whatever that is available, she lives peacefully with her husband without giving room for interference from friends and relatives.
If you are a woman and you are diligent in your doings, keep it up for your price is worth more than gold and if you are not, it is not too late, you still have the opportunity to make amends. As you meditate upon this bread of life, the good lord who maketh all things perfect, will perfect that which concerns you.
