Kidnappers who stormed Opuoma Community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State penultimate week were said to have abducted a hunchback, Miss Stella Egbo and butchered her body for a suspected ritual purpose.
An eye witness account told LEADERSHIP that the Late Egbo was lured into a bush in her community by a member, one Mr Daniel where other members of his gang were said to be lurking.
The report further said that it took the family members and the Opuoma Community few days of intensive search to discover the dismembered body of their daughter in a shallow grave in the bush.
Our correspondent gathered that one of the abductors whose motorcycle was found near the scene of crime was used as a bait by the police to capture other members of the gang.
The suspect, Arthur Ikpeazu, was said to have gone to the divisional police station to report about his missing motorcycle and was arrested.
In the process of interrogation, he named his accomplices which include: Izuchukwu Edem, Tochukwu Nwaguagha and Ifeanyi Orioha who was alleged to have absconded with the hunch cut off from Egbo in the company of one Alhaji Mohammed Musa believed to be the sponsor of the kidnap.
The remains of the body of Egbo, LEADERSHIP gathered was later discovered where it was buried by her abductors.
All the suspects, according to the State vigilante coordinator, Mr. Emma Mbadugha have been handed over to the anti-kidnapping office at the police headquarters, Owerri.
