National light welterweight boxing champion, Olaide ‘Fijaborn’ Fijabi, has replied his Ghanaian foe, Raphael Kwabena King, at GOtv Boxing Night 9, insisting that “Ghana must fall,” when both clash in the ring.
King had, upon his arrival in Nigeria, boasted that he would defeat Fijabi and show him that Ghanaians have better boxers, when they clash on October 2, 2016, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
“King was quoted in the papers as saying he would defeat me. I believe he was misquoted. He said he has seen me fight on a number of occasions and I congratulate him on that. What I want to say, however, is that everybody at the venue will enjoy the fight except him. Nigeria is bigger than Ghana and I will prove that to him. Ghana must fall,” he boasted.
Another Ghanaian, Richard Amefun, billed to fight Nigerian lightweight champion, Oto ‘Joe Boy’ Joseph, has been warned to prepare to take a beating.
“He claims to have fought world champions. I am not yet one, but I will show him that I am on my way to becoming one. Amefun will see hell,” bragged Joseph.
The ninth edition of the GOtv Boxing Night will feature five other fights, with the best boxer of the night going home with the cash prize of N1.5m.
