198 personnel engaged in security operations in Nigeria’s North-East has been promoted by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
Mr Abdullahi Ibrahim, The Commandant of the NSCDC in Borno, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Maiduguri.
He said the promotion was to motivate the operatives for service delivery.
Ibrahim said the personnel included those actively involved in counter-insurgency operations and those deployed to liberated Local Councils and others involved in various operations.
“The promotion was approved by our Commandant-General, Mr Abdullahi Gana, as part of steps to reciprocate their hard work and to boost their morale.
“The elevated personnel were those who stood out in their commitment and lived up to expectations in the discharge of their responsibilities,” said Ibrahim.
