2 Cheat Death As Car Collides With Truck In Lagos

Two people yesterday escaped death by the whiskers but sustained Injuries when a sedan car collided with a truck on Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The Federal Road Safety Corps which confirmed the accident said two persons sustained varying injuries in the accident which occurred on the Agbara-Badagry Expressway in Lagos.

It was gathered that the accident occurred at the Ibereko Barracks axis of the Badagry expressway.

FRSC Badagry ynit commander, William Manga, who briefed newsmen, said the auto crash occurred at about 12:54 a.m. on Monday.

According to him, the officers arrived at the scene of the accident involving a car and a truck at 1:02 a.m.

He said, “The accident involved a Howo truck with registration number KZR73ZT and a Mazda car with registration number KTU900BK”

Manga remarked that a male and a female sustained injuries in the accident and have been rushed to the Badagry General Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, it was established that the cause of the accident was over-speeding and wrongful overtaking.

He advised motorists plying the Agbara-Badagry expressway to be conscious of the current single lane, implorong drivers to adhere to the speed limit and conduct routine checks on their vehicles.
