In a bid to reposition the Lagos Printing Corporation for effective performance, the state government has acquired Hi-tech printing machines worth over N4 billion for the outfit.
Speaking at the official commissioning of the newly acquired equipment, Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode said the new facility will position the corporation to be one of the best printing corporations across the continent.
Ambode said, “Today, we have repositioned the Lagos State printing corporation with the goal of joining the league of well-respected national and global players in the printing industry.”
The Governor who was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde said that he has strengthened the capacity of the corporation with latest Hi-tech machines which are the latest innovation in the printing business.
He charged the officials of the corporation to justify the huge investment in the hi-tech machines by carving out a niche through innovation and dynamic performance.
“You have at your disposal, a facility that will guarantee top quality output, you are to deploy the appropriate human capital in terms of skills, attitude and professionalism” the Governor added.
Also speaking, the General Manager, Mr. Sakiru Odusanya of the Corporation described the new machines as the best in the country, assuring that there is no aspect of printing job that the corporation cannot handle presently.
Odusanya urged all Ministries, Agencies, departments and corporate organisations to make the outfit their first choice in printing, stressing that the era when the corporation could only handle selected printing works was over.
