The police in Kebbi State have warned criminals or troublemakers to stay away from Kebbi State or face the full wrath of the law.
The Kebbi State commissioner of Police, Kabiru Ibrahim gave the warning at the Birnin Kebbi Division of the Police Command during ‘show of force exercise’ yesterday.
CP Ibrahim reiterated that Kebbi State was still the safest state in Nigeria and the state with least crime rate in the country, for that the police wanted to maintain the records.
He said that the exercise of ‘ show of force’ the police embarked upon was a usual activity meant to send strong signals to criminals and other troublemakers that the police were fully on ground ready for them.
“This is a strong signal to criminals and troublemakers that we are fully on ground and will not hesitate to descend ruthlessly according to the law on anybody who wants to make trouble in Kebbi,” he warned.
He reassured people of the state that the police were out to protect their lives and properties and solicited for more cooperation from the people and support from the state government.
“As part of the measures we are putting in place, you can see that our men and patrol vehicles are on the ground for 24 hours service tomaintain law and order.”
