Masari Pays N6bn Road Projects Liabilities

Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has paid N6billion liabilities on road projects initiated by the previous administration in the state.

The state deputy governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, represented by the state commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Tasi’u Dahiru Dandagoro, who disclosed this at formal opening of zonal office of Masari Restoration Awareness Forum office in Katsina, said the governor paid 70 per cent of the liabilities to the projects’ contractors to complete their works.

According to him, the projects which included Sandamu –Baure–Babbanmutum Road; Eka–Kuraye–Yargamji Road and Dandume –Kadisu – Sheme Road had all been completed.

He further noted the present administration also spent over N8 billion on various road projects at different stages of completion in the three senatorial zones of the state.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, represented by Commissioner for Religious Affairs,  Alhaji Tanimu Audi Bindawa, urged members of the Restoration Forum to partner the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state to realize their common goals.

Also speaking, the member representing Katsina Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sani Danlami, thanked Governor Masari for averting the perennial flood challenges in Katsina metropolis through massive investment in erosion control projects in Katsina and environs.

Earlier, the state commissioner for Information, Alhaji Hamza Borodo, stressed the need for people to be more patriotic and loyal to the present state and federal administration while praying for the safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari to further promote the corporate existence and progress of the nation.
