Sadjare Steps In As New President Of Rotary Club, Wuse II

The Rotary Club of Abuja, Wuse II district has sworn in Prince Igho Sadjare as its new president. The swearing in ceremony was part of the activities to mark the end of the 2015/2016 rotary year and the beginning of the 2017/2018 rotary year.

Speaking at the event, Prince Sadjare highlighted his immediate points of duty, while promising an eventful year that will impact humanity in special way.

“In my first 100 days in office, I am thinking about doing some credible projects among them is trying to give 200 women empowerment, having grassrooters that will be given a start-up grant to better the lives of their family, then we are trying to adopt two government schools in Wuse 2, we want to renovate their health centres which are in shambles currently, we are also seeing how we can get motorized bore holes in our community then offer scholarship programmes for 10 students within the community and we are also partnering with a rotary club in Taraba State to give over five hundred cooking stoves to indigent women in that community.’’Prince Sadjare stated.

On his part, the outgoing president of the club, Rotarian John Ebokpo express confidence in the new leadership and pledged continuous support to the club and the new leadership.

“It is my earnest wish that as we reflect and think ahead in the next 365 days, we will continue as a team to consolidate on the efforts and achievements that the club has made and work out ways to advance the club.’’

Similarly, Rotarian Festus IykeAgbazue has also been sworn in as the new president of the Rotary Club OF Kubwa Gateway in Abuja. Agbazue takes over from Barr. Victor Nnaji. The change of baton was part of the event to mark the end of the 2015/2016 rotary year and the beginning of a new administration in the district.

In his remarks, Rotarian Festus IykeAgbazue promised to continue to uphold the purpose and objectives of rotary during his tenure.
