PSS Minna graduates 447 students, Commissions N14.9 million PTA Projects

The Police Secondary School (PSS) Minna, has held its 20th graduation with  447 students passing  at the parade/prize giving day for 2016/2017 academic session and silver jubilee celebrations of the school in Minna.

Niger state police commissioner, Mr Austin Agbonlahor who represented the  Inspector General of Police  commissioned a block of 5 classrooms and a staff office upstairs that cost N14.9 million and  built by  the Parents Teachers Association PTA.

The police Boss promised  to sustained the Police schools discipline and would continued to provide education and paramilitary training as the core mandate of the schools in the country.

No fewer than  30 students emerged as recipients of various subject awards  with a 16 years old graduand Usman Maryam emerging as  the overall best winner of IGP award for scoring  242 in JAMB  earning her  automatic admission to ABU Zaria to read medicine.

Maryam who  spoke on behalf of other recipients lauded  her class mates and teachers as well as the  parents  declaring that  “my hard work had paid me” .

The PTA Chairman, Zubairu Abdul- Rauf in an interview disclosed that  the 5 classrooms and office was built at  N14.908,750  by the PTA while appealing for intervention in the infrastructural facilities of the school to curb decay.
