90,000 Jostle For 11,000 Spaces At UNILORIN

Over 90,000 candidates are seeking admission into the University of Ilorin for the 2017-2018 academic session.

The Deputy Director, Information in the University,  AbdulGaniyu Akogun announced this during an interview with newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Akogun, however, said that only  11,000 candidates would be admitted into different courses of the University, based on the institution’s carrying capacity.

He said the administration of the out-going Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdul Ganiyu Ambali has expanded the academic programmes of the University by adding three faculties to make the number of the institution’s faculties to 15.

According to him, the university is known for its stable academic calendar, making the institution, the most sought after university in the country, assuring that the administration of the Vice Chancellor-designate would continue to uphold the virtue and standards of the university.

Akogun also noted that the University has  witnessed rapid physical infrastructural development, improved research and teaching activities and stable power supply on the campus.
