2019: Kaduna APC Endorses PMB, el-Rufai For Second Term

The Kaduna State All Progressives Congress (APC) at the weekend endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai for a second term in office.

In a communique issued by Hon Samaila Suleiman, member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Hon John Audu Kwaturu, deputy speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly and others at the end of the APC stakeholders meeting with party excos from the 255 electoral wards held at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Hall, Kaduna, the stakeholders resolved that there is only one APC leadership in Kaduna State under the leadership of its Acting chairman, Alhaji Shuaibu Idris.

According to the communique, the stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the 29th July 2017 delegates congress election in the state and affirmed the outcome of the said delegates congress to the national headquarters of the party.

The communique added that the stakeholders also resolved to pursue genuine reconciliation with aggrieved members who, despite their grievances, have shown deep commitment to the progress and stability of the party in the state.

The meeting had in attendance,  Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, the senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial district, honorable members of the House of Representatives and the Kaduna State House of Assembly and political appointees at both federal and state levels.

The state Acting chairman, Alhaji Shuaibu Idris, who presided over the meeting, thanked members of the national and state assemblies, party executives at the state, zonal, local government and ward levels, former and serving lawmakers and appointees for standing by the party in overcoming threats to its unity and progress.

Idris said party supremacy is non-negotiable, affirming that the party will discipline and sanction members that are working against the APC’s progress and unity.
