In the test of knowledge and deliberate effort at making the beauty and greatness of Nigeria evident, Project Tour, a tourism initiative has kicked off a campaign tagged: National Bragging Right (Discovering the extraordinary).
The initiative is seeking out for smart and innovative Nigerians with ideas that can impact their states and are willing to showcase and brag about it. The project is also engaged in projecting people, places, culture, tourism, entertainment etc.
Speaking at the event in Abuja, on the conception of the initiative, Founder/Project Initiator, Omoefe Tawiyah said , ProjectTour Nigeria is resource platform where Nigerians can access information on tourism and entertainment.
He said: “This initiative is about showcasing our rich endowment to push Nigeria to a higher international standard and letting the people to know that we are a blessed country and we are actually the giant of Africa. We are concerned about projecting talents coming from our country.”
Guest Speaker, a reknowned nollywood actor Francis Duru, in his remarks, expressed excitement over for the launch of the programme, saying there’s was no better time than now.
Duru said: “I’m excited. It’s a National call for every Nigerian. It’s sometimes pathetic when a Nigerian will come up with initiatives as these and then not getting the expected support by offices and policymakers to enable such idea to run. It’s time for us to own Nigeria. We should all have something positive to brag about this country. Let’s all support this laudable cause.”
The project will commence a national competition tagged: National Bragging Right Competition which is to kickoff in 2018. The competition will present a brand new car and N10million naira cash prize for grab.
