Senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani Wednesday urged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the affected sacked teachers in Kaduna State not to succumb to intimidation and or any form of harassment in their quest to demand for justice.
It would be recalled that thousands of Kaduna workers led by the President of NLC Comrade Ayuba Waba took to the streets of Kaduna In solidarity and in protest against the sack of over 21,000 thousands teacher allegedly said to have failed competency test conducted by the state government.
Senator Sani who bared his mind on the subject matter on his facebook page said, “As senator representing Kaduna Central, I salute the courage and resolve of the Labour Union and Teachers Union in Kaduna state for standing up in the defence of Teachers in Kaduna State.
“I share your cause,your concerns,your position and your struggle.Your defiance and protest is a step in the right direction”.
He however called on the labour leadership in defending the rights of their members to be peaceful.
“Continue to peacefully defend the rights of your members but never bow down to intimidation and sponsored harassment and threats from any Quaters” he urged.
