Police in Akwa Ibom says it has Ban the use of Motorcycles popularly known as Okada in two local government areas of Ukanafun and Etim Ekpo from 6.00pm to 700am
In a release signed by the State Police public relations officer Bala Elkana DSP and made available to newsmen yesterday in Uyo the command explained that the measure became necessary in order to tackle the rising rate of crime especially murder and kidnapping in the affected areas mainly perpetrated by criminals using Motorcycles.
The Command therefore warned that any violators of the order will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
The PPRO he urged resident of the state continue to support the efforts of the command in taming the tide of criminals onthe State.
